Our Story

Our Vision: Light House is a member of the visible Church of Christ devoted to bringing glory to God by demonstrating His love, meditating on His Word, and spreading the gospel of Christ. We hold the Bible as the inspired Word of God and want to bring and strengthen others into personal relationships with Jesus.

As Jesus said in Matthew 5:14-16:

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Loving Jesus and loving those whom He has called us to is what Light House is built upon. We truly value the Living Word in which we believe as the Word of God, and above all, believe in sharing the Good News in our daily lives. As a community of students and young adult Christians in Downtown Toronto, we hope to support and strengthen others into forming a deep relationship with God.

Each week, we:

  • Gather for worship and fellowship
  • Build genuine companionship with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ
  • Study and grow through the Word together in Bible studies
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to first-year students
  • Engage in and share in fun activities

We meet in the OISE (Ontario Institute of Studies in Education) in room 5160 on the University of Toronto St. George campus. Our weekly fellowship is on Fridays @ 6:30 pm.
